Why Plumbing?

If you are looking to develop a new skill and work in a trade, then plumbing is the career for you.  As one of the most ‘in demand’ trades, there is a huge need for qualified and skilled plumbers to meet the demand in the commercial and private industry.  As a plumber, you will have a balance of physical and mental work, analysing problems whilst undertaking manual tasks.

Working in a trade, you will have the flexibility to work in your own business, or gain experience working within an existing franchise or business.

Plumbers have a higher salary, more variety, and more opportunity for advancement that many other trades.

How do you start?

No previous experience necessary, students can commence studying of the City and Guilds Level 2 in Plumbing qualification.  This nationally recognised qualification is the entry level qualification to start a career in the plumbing industry, and will start with the very basics working up to a comprehensive knowledge in the theory and practical of domestic plumbing.

Plumbing Course Information

Students will be able to study full time, Monday to Friday for 6 weeks at the academy in Central London.  Training will include classroom based theory, and practical based training within the facility to get hands on experience in the role.

Students also have the option to study from home, attending the academy for assessment days only.

As a national syllabus, the course contains all the modules required to work as a plumber, including:

Electrical principles and processes
Common plumbing processes
Cold water systems
Domestic hot water systems
Central heating systems and Drainage systems

Fast Track Study

Face to face students can complete the course to become qualified in as little as 6 weeks.  Alternatively, students can complete the course self-paced from home.
